Taylor swift concert for deaf school students

Thousands of Facebook users banded together in recent weeks to hijack a contest in which the grand prize was a live concert by the Grammy-winning country singer.  And with some 14,000 schools participating, the runaway winner appeared to be the Horace Mann School for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing in Boston.

We are talking about the contest that would send a boyfriend centric Taylor Swift concert to a school that received the most votes in an online voting contest. True Internet form the members of sites like 4chan and reddit banded together to rock it an underdog all the way to the top.

This time said underdog was the Horace Mann School for the Deaf and wouldn't you know Horace Mann School for the Deaf won the whole shebang, there was a stipulation in the rules that stated Taylor in the sponsors of the contest could pull the defense of black maneuver and opt out of any performance and they did they blocked the crap out of it despite the principal of the school say I don't care if these votes could be mean-spirited my students freaking love live music.

Are we the winner? Absolutely, Ford told the Globe.

The competition attracted nationwide attention in August when Reddit and 4Chan decided to take over the contest. Some critics accused the websites of being insensitive towards the hearing-impaired community.

Others voted for the school in an effort to bring awareness to the hearing impaired community’s ability to appreciate music.

Ford also appropriated the trolling campaign and publicly welcomed the opportunity to have Swift perform at the school.

Okay now don't automatically start hating on Taylor Swift hey I don't pull a Taylor Swift and compose a song about the one that did you wrong here the sponsors of the contest found fault in the way Horace Mann ascended the voting leaderboard and claimed they disqualified them for that reason but there is a silver lining a $60,000 silver lining five of the sponsors donating $10,000 to the school in Taylor Swift followed suit with another ten$10,000 and she sweeten the pot offering free tickets to all the students next time her concert mosey into town so in the end the whole thing is kind of a weird country themed fairytale for the internet age and I'm pretty sure it has a happy ending right yeah a really twisted but super happy ending Taylor Swift can do the soundtrack of the movie but it'll just be about boys excited oh man so what do you guys think about this whole thing let us know in the comments down below.
